Chuck Duze (born 1997) is vocalist/emcee, songwriter native to Texas, currently residing in the capital city of Austin. He began writing and performing hiphop music at the age of 16, often attending the local open-mic Austin Mic Exchange at Spider House Ballroom where he joined the ranks of hosts by age 18. He was one of the early additions to the Austin-based hiphop collective FOCI after performing a multitude of South By Southwest shows in 2017 alongside veteran member Valor Alan. He can be described as lyrically playful with a versatile sound that can range from influences of trap, chopper, boom-bap and the occasional twist of metal. All of that mixed with his admiration for strong melodic themes (inspired by fellow group-mate You F. Oh), has given his ever-growing showmanship many opportunities to evolve him into a characteristic performer in the commonly revered “live music capital of the world”.
